If it won't scan
- Move closer until the code fills about half the frame, then hold still for a second.
- Avoid glare: tilt the phone slightly or step out of direct light.
- For a photo, crop to the code and make sure it's in focus.
- Light-on-dark codes are retried inverted automatically.
- Still nothing? The code may be damaged beyond its error correction, or be missing its white margin.

How do I scan a QR code online?
Press Start camera and allow camera access, then hold the code inside the frame. Or upload, drag in or paste a screenshot or photo that contains the code.
Is the image uploaded?
No. Frames from your camera and uploaded pictures are decoded on your device, using your browser’s built-in BarcodeDetector where available, otherwise the open-source ZXing decoder compiled to WebAssembly.
Can I scan a QR code that is on my screen?
Yes: take a screenshot and paste it here with Ctrl/⌘ + V, or upload it. No second device needed.
Is it safe to open a scanned link?
We show the full link before anything opens. Check the domain carefully: fake QR stickers on parking meters and posters ("quishing") point to look-alike payment sites.
